Strength Through the Seasons: My Fitness & Wellness Routine at 51 | May 2025

At 51, fitness is no longer just about aesthetics—it’s my anchor through life’s transitions, especially menopause. Hormonal changes bring challenges I never expected, but instead of letting them slow me down, I stay strong, consistent, and kind to myself.

With a background in both nutrition and fitness, I’ve learned that the goal isn’t perfection—it’s about creating a sustainable, healthy lifestyle that supports us in showing up fully for the people we love. For me, that includes my family and my clients.

Here’s what my routine looks like right now:

  • Strength training 4x a week to build lean muscle, protect bone health, and support hormonal balance.
  • Daily cardio and core to keep my heart strong, mind clear, and energy high.
  • Clean eating 6 days a week, with Sundays saved for guilt-free indulgences—because balance is part of wellness, too.

Evenings are when I recharge. I wind down with a few strawberries, a couple squares of dark chocolate, and a calming cup of herbal tea. Then I curl up with my two four-legged babies and catch up on my favorite home décor shows on Discovery. That little ritual keeps me grounded and gives me joy.

If you’re starting your own wellness journey, here are a few simple ways to begin:

  • Start small. Even 10 minutes of movement each day can make a big difference.
  • Stay hydrated and eat whole foods. Fueling your body well supports mood, energy, and hormonal health.
  • Establish a calming evening routine. Rituals help reset the nervous system and support better sleep.
  • Be kind to yourself. Progress over perfection—always.

Menopause may be unpredictable, but strength, structure, and self-care help us meet it with confidence. And you don’t have to do it alone—I’m here to help guide, support, and cheer you on every step of the way.

We take care of ourselves not just for us, but so we can keep showing up—strong, healthy, and present—for the people who count on us.

Let’s walk this path together.
